Note: If you choose to share your hair tie, make sure you let it cool after you wear it before you heat it again. If you heat it too soon, you run the risk of overheating it which could cause damage to your hair tie.

Do you have to use a microwave to heat the hair tie?
The microwave is the only way to heat the hair tie, but it isn’t necessary to heat the tie. However, it may take a little longer to achieve curls. You may want to sleep in it and wake up with your hair curled.
Will my hair tie be too hot from the microwave?
Always check to make sure that your hair tie is a comfortable temperature before wearing. Microwaves do vary, so make sure that your hair tie is not too hot. Microwave only 20-30 seconds.
Do you need to use a hair product?
As with any hair style, the use of a hair product can help set and hold the curl. But, it is a matter of personal preference.
Can I wrap my hair myself?
Yes! It may take a little practice, but it is very fast and easy, once you get the hang of it.
Does it work on shoulder length hair?
Yes! We have had great results on shoulder length hair. It definitely will add volume and waves or curls and leave you with a very natural looking style.
What is the best way to wrap your hair?
It depends on the look you are going for. You can wrap smaller sections for tighter curls, or larger sections for big waves.
Can I use the hair tie when my hair is wet?
No. This is for two reasons. One, it will ruin the hair tie, and two, your hair won’t dry. Trust us, we have tried leaving it on wet hair overnight. Our hair was still damp in the morning, and our hair tie wasn’t like new anymore.
Can I use the hair tie on damp hair?
Yes, BUT not too damp. Almost dry hair, or dry hair works the best. Slightly damp hair is ok for the hair tie and you should be happy with your results if you leave it in long enough for your hair to dry.
Can I wash the hair tie?
No. The good news is that if you use your hair tie on clean hair, there is no reason that it would get dirty. We recommend storing the hair tie in a clean dry place.
What kinds of hair does this work for?
We have seen good results from fine to coarse hair, curly to straight and thin to thick. Everyone has different results, but the hair tie seems to deliver a natural looking curl or wave to almost everyone that tries it.
How long do the curls last?
It depends on your hair and how well it normally holds a curl. For a lot of people the curls last all day and well into the next.
Is it comfortable to sleep in?
Yes. We made the hair tie so it shouldn’t bother you while sleeping. You can wake up to curls and go!
